About this role

Join a 24-month electrical project based in Abilene, TX as a licensed journeyman electrician. You will work on-site performing installation, troubleshooting, and inspections across residential and light-commercial systems on a steady, long-term assignment. We need a reliable electrician with a current Texas journeyman electrician license and at least 5 years of hands-on experience. This role requires strong blueprint interpretation, code knowledge, and the ability to handle overcurrent device selection and installation. Per diem is provided for days worked; local work schedule and site orientation will be provided at the start of the project.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams for on-site installations
• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, panels, and overcurrent protection devices
• Troubleshoot electrical systems for faults, wear, and safety issues; perform repairs and adjustments
• Perform work inspections and coordinate with site supervisors to ensure code compliance
• Carry out residential wiring tasks and general construction-related electrical work as directed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an electrician with hands-on field work
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Skilled at troubleshooting electrical systems, diagnosing faults, and performing safe repairs
• Working knowledge of building codes, electrical regulations, and overcurrent device selection/installation
• Experience with residential wiring and on-site work inspections

Qualifications

• Current Texas Journeyman Electrician license (in good standing)
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable electrical field experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics
• Willingness to work on-site in Abilene for the full project duration
